The Castle Rock Economic Development Council (CREDCO) is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, assertive CEO to be responsible for local job creation, corporate relocation, business expansion and national outreach to generate employment opportunities in the Town of Castle Rock . CREDCO is a publicly/privately funded ED organization.

Castle Rock is located 20 miles south of Denver on I-25 and 30 miles north of Colorado Springs . The Town encompasses approximately 37 square miles. Castle Rock is a fast growing community located within one of the fastest growing counties in the United States . The Town's current population is 35,000 and projected to increase to 65,000 by 2020 per the current Master Plan.

CREDCO is seeking an experienced individual with demonstrated economic development successes. The person should have local and national relationships with necessary corporate, real estate and industry contacts. Experience in an ED organization which has successfully recruited major primary employers is essential. Additionally, excellent communication skills and creative understanding of the economics and motivations of job creation are desired. The candidate needs a working knowledge in local government and will interface with the Town Manager, Town employees and Town Council to reflect the desires and needs of the business community.

The individual should have the tenacity and energy to work diligently to attract/grow primary job growth in Castle Rock. Ideally, the candidate should have a BA in business, real estate, finance or a related field. A Masters Degree is preferred but not required. A minimum of ten (10) years experience with an ED organization or relevant related experience is required. The position may be a contract position or an employee of CREDCO, depending upon the qualifications and needs of the candidate.
